Monday, Dec. 31, 2018, at St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church, with Father Martin Celuch officiating for Rita Kozak, 94, who passed away Sunday, Dec. 23, 2018. Mrs. Kozak was born April 27, 1924, in Youngstown to the late James Bebackwa and Angela Moore. Rita was devoted to both her family and church. She is survived by her sons, Lawrence (Cynthia) Kozak, Richard Kozak, and Robert Kozak; sisters Delores Baharis and Gloria Mahoney; five grandchildren, Bobby, Justin, Jodi, Rick, and Lauren Kozak; a great-grandson, Maison Kozak; and a host of nieces and nephews. Rita was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Kozak; a son, Michael Kozak; and sisters Mary Olguin, Phyllis Nigro, Josephine Griffith, Marie Bydo, and Kathryn Sekula.
